Overview:

Peter has been working with children and adolescents for over 12 years in therapeutic settings. He has a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling, and has focused post-graduate training around the treatment of Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, and Autism Spectrum Disorders. Peter is a graduate of the Behavior Therapy Institute,  a specialty training for evidence-based treatment of OCD.  He has presented at the Washington State Behavioral Healthcare Conference, The International Association for Experiential Education Conference,  and ADD Resources. Topics for presentations have ranged from social skills group development to dealing with explosive behavior in children. Peter is a member of The Association for Behavioral & Cognitive Therapies, The Obsessive-Compulsive Foundation, Seattle Counselors Association, CHADD, and the Association for Experiential Education.


Peter is a Washington State Department of Health "Approved Supervisor" for Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) candidates.


Peter is also the founder of Blue Compass - a summer camp for teens with ADHD, Asperger's, Autism, PDD, or Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, and non-diagnosed teens who could benefit from nurturing, motivating, wilderness adventure programs.

Depending on the the client and family needs and their goals, Peter will use a combination of individual and/or family therapy, parent coaching, as well as communication with schools and other involved professionals, in order to serve your child in the best way possible.
